First play of new Merrick’s Tusk track ‘Old Ground’

By Mark Johnson

We’re excited to bring you the first play of ‘Old Ground’, the new single from Nottingham’s math-rock/post-hardcore band Merrick’s Tusk.

Speaking about the meaning behind the song, the band explain that “Old Ground is about the frustration at realising your loyalty with old friends was misplaced and the frustration at their negativity having an affect on your outlook, no matter how positive you try to be.”

Merrick’s Tusk are currently in the process of writing their first full length and plan to test some of their new material on audiences by playing a few shows over the next few months. Check out ‘Old Ground’ below.

Merrick’s Tusk hope to record their new album later this year. Check out the band’s 2016 EP ‘Regroup and Reform’ here and keep up to date with them on Facebook.
