First play of Quiet Lions’ new single ‘Stronger Than Before’

By Mark Johnson

We have the first play of Quiet Lions’ new single ‘Stronger Than Before’. Quiet Lions formed from the ashes of Jumping Ships and have spent the past year working on new material. With this single released, the Brighton-based alt-rock quartet will now head into the studio to record their debut album with Mark Roberts (Black Peaks, Physics House Band).

‘Stronger Than Before’ explores themes of redemption and resolve within a claustrophobic relationship and its accompanying video features some impressive artwork. The video was filmed in singer Michael Williams’ flat and required all the walls to be painted white in preparation for the mural to be created. Williams explains: “The crew had only one opportunity to get the mural right. It was a long day, we all got cabin fever, but the mural is great. In fact, it’s still on the wall now!”

Just before the band head into the studio, they’ll be playing two live shows in support of ‘Stronger Than Before’. The video and tour details can be seen below:

JULY
25 BRIGHTON The Prince Albert (with Porshyne + Oceans)
31 LONDON The Waiting Room (with Death and the Penguin + Dexy)
