Today we are bringing you the excellent split release from two upcoming bands in the UK, Brunch and Modern Rituals.
“Both Modern Rituals and Brunch recorded some songs last year which were yet to find a home,” says Sean From Brunch. “It therefore seemed a good idea to band together, as we all must in these desperate times, and make a split. It also happens to mark the one year anniversary of our first tour together, halcyon days. As well as each band’s two offerings, we have included a couple of covers – Modern Rituals opting for ‘Hate’ from Brunch’s ‘Big water’, Brunch choosing ‘Pushing Teeth’ from ‘Stranger Culture’. ‘Protrusion’ and ‘Muttering’ (Modern Rituals) were recorded by Phil Booth at the wonderful JT Soar, while ‘2nd song’ and ‘Blinkers’ (Brunch) by Mark Jasper at the equally wonderful Sound Savers. The covers were recorded by Me, and that’s why they sound way worse.”
