It was some point last week when I was on Facebook and I saw this new track by Gin Street posted. ‘Whiter Tulips’ was everything I like in punk music rolled into one nice little package. Twinkly guitar bits over chuggier guitar bits over a great drum beat over shouty but not too shouty vocals, it even has a bit two thirds in where it gets quiet and builds itself all the way back up again.
The album, ‘Model Homes’, is the gift that keeps on giving, dealing with finding your place in the world, losing faith and believing in yourself, and taking responsibility for your actions.
It’s a record about not letting anything but you define yourself.
If you dig Brand New you should be getting this in your ears and we can help you with that because you can listen to the whole thing below right now:
‘Model Homes’ is out on February 13th and tapes will be available through the bands bandcamp about a week after.
