This year we are going bigger than ever to celebrate the festive season. We’re bringing some big names to venues in the UK’s capital, and state-side in Chicago. Both shows take place on the 19th December 2014, and get down early to catch some truly exciting talent.
The London show is free of charge (yes, free), with Chicago costing a minimal $8. That’s a lot of bang for your buck.
LONDON
Having performed some knock-out sets at festivals this summer, including but not limited to Groezrock, Camden Rocks and Hevy Fest, London’s Apologies, I Have None will take to the stage at the intimate Old Blue Last in Shoreditch. Their first hometown appearance in some time sees them riding on the wave created by this year’s stunning ‘Black Everything’ EP. The band won’t be playing venues this size come the follow up full-length to 2012’s album of the year, ‘London’.
Apologies, I Have None will be joined by activist punks Petrol Girls, whose ferocious and energetic social commentary driven live shows are a whirlwind to behold. Great Cynics vocalist Giles Bidder joins the bill with a promise of his off-kilter material intertwined with some festive renditions, with the line-up completed by surf infused Southampton alt-rockers, Faux. All of it free of charge.

CHICAGO
Punktastic US launched at the start of this year, since our Assistant Editor is set to move over to Chicago soon. It seemed fitting to do a party in our state-side base city. We’ve done a few shows in Chicago over the last 8 months with lots more to come next year and we are delighted to celebrate it all and the holidays with some awesome bands.
The Sky We Scrape, Rapids, Bagheera (and one more to be announced!) will make sure your holiday season goes off with a bang and will bring a whole lot of cheer (and cheap beers).

A special thanks to Sam Edgin at Phantomnote for supporting the show state-side, and to Jason Douglass Swearingen for the posters. They are absolutely brilliant. We’d also like to thank the team at the Old Blue Last in London, and (of course) the many bands who are joining us for the celebrations. Happy Holidays!
