We’re giving you an exclusive first-look at ‘Give’, the latest video from MAYPINE. The track comes from the band’s upcoming four-track EP ‘Bend/Break’, due for release on June 22. Physical pre-orders are available here, and you can order a digital copy here.
“The music video for ‘Give’ was directed by Lewis Cater, with cinematography by Nicholas Shield, at St Peter’s Church in Brighton,” the band explain. “We loved the atmosphere that Lewis and Nicholas create in their videos and their use of lighting in particular. Lewis has an incredible portfolio and has worked with some of our favourite bands, so we knew we’d love to work with him. St Peter’s Church was chosen as the venue due to its size and architectural features, which allowed for an interesting backdrop for a performance video. The video follows the colour scheme, with red lighting filling a dark space, with moments of bright white light at key moments of the song. We chose to do a performance video for our first single in order to show people a glimpse of what our live shows are like, and to introduce new listeners to the band.”
