The new Dudes Night song will make your day much better. We promise.

“We gotta get drunk first – we gotta shotgun a beer”

If there’s ever a phrase that sums up Dudes Night it could be that. When Punktastic first met them there was a pool, a lot of bad whisky and an impromptu room show, the booze hasn’t stopped flowing since. Today we bring you a stream of a new track from their new album ‘The Arsonist, The House and The Fire’, their first release in nearly two years. Why has it been so long between releases? Well that comes down to their laid back attitude.

“We’re just really awful! We go to shows and we just don’t watch our merch. I think it was Awesome Fest 8, I was really really drunk and I didn’t know where anyone was or who had the money so I just started to give our merch away to people that wanted it!” Jimmy Gomez, drummer, explains “Originally there were four songs we put on an CD at Fest…11? So we’ve had these songs for a long time and we were like “let’s just write an album. So we wrote an album”

“An EP would have needed six songs and so we were like “Fuck it, let’s just write four more and put out a record” adds Josh, singer/bassist.

This sort of laid back attitude is what makes Dudes Night such a likeable band, that and the ability to create really catchy punk rock. The album is a mass break up record, but not a whiny one which makes it great.

“It’s a downer” says Josh
“Everyone got dumped but Saul so we wrote a break up record. It’s a fun record but it’s really a downer. Just don’t listen to hard to what Richie is singing..” ” continues Jimmy “It’s like The Notebook.”

Check out Dudes Night at Fest.
